Communion Partners Retreat 2026
January 13-15, 2026 | Camp Allen
The Leadership of Communion Partners and Anglican Communion Partners (Canada) warmly invite clergy to join us for our annual gathering, January 13-15, 2026 at beautiful Camp Allen, in Navasota, Texas.
We are looking forward to a time that combines updates on developments around the Anglican Communion, heartfelt worship, inspiring talks, and prayer for and fellowship with one another. We hope that this will be a time for networking with like-minded clergy, mutual encouragement, and supporting each other in the ministries that God has given us.
This year’s gathering will also include a special dinner in honor of Bishop George Sumner, as he retires after a decade of faithful ministry as Bishop of Dallas. We will conduct our first Annual Meeting under the terms of our new bylaws, and elect members of our first Governing Council to move our ministry forward.
Speakers
Our keynote speaker will be the Rt. Rev. Anthony Poggo, Secretary-General of the Anglican Communion.
Bishop Poggo has led the Anglican Communion Office in London since 2022, and is an ambassador for the Communion, representing Anglicans to governments and wider society, undertaking visits to member churches across the world, and supporting the Instruments of Communion. Prior to his appointment, he was the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Advisor on Anglican Communion Affairs and Bishop of Kajo-Keji in his native South Sudan.

Transportation & Shuttle Service
Camp Allen is a 60-90 minute drive from Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport. It has plenty of parking for retreat participants who wish to drive from home or to rent a car at the airport.
This year, we will also offer free shuttle service on a first-come, first-served basis between George Bush Intercontinental Airport Terminal A and Camp Allen. A bus for bishops and Standing Committee members will depart the airport on January 12 at 3 pm. 32-passenger buses for participants will depart the airport on January 13 at 12 pm & 3 pm. For the return trip, buses will leave Camp Allen on January 15 at 10 am, 1 pm, and 4 pm.
If you wish to take the shuttle, please be sure of your flight arrival and departure times and register here.
You must register separately for the retreat and the shuttle.
Seats on the shuttle will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so early registration is helpful. If a given shuttle is full, there will be a waitlist, and you wll be notified by Sign-Up Genius directly if a seat is available for you.
The shuttle times must be rigorously observed, and we cannot hold them for flight delays. Shuttle participants will be sent instructions about where to gather within the airport if they arrive early. The shuttle will also only run between George Bush Intercontinental Airport Terminal A and Camp Allen (those who wish to use Hobby Airport will need to find another means of transportation to Camp Allen).
We cannot guarantee a spot on the shuttle for everyone who may wish to take one, and it’s wise to register for the conference and shuttle before booking your flights. Please schedule your flight times to allow at least 90 minutes between your arrival at the airport and the shuttle departure to Camp Allen on January 12/13, and please schedule your departure no earlier than 180 minutes after the shuttle departure time from Camp Allen on January 15.
In addition to renting a car, it is also possible to travel between any Houston airport and Camp Allen by ride-sharing services, though costs around $75 each way.
Please contact Gay Hayslett if you have questions about the retreat at ghayslett[at]incarnation.org or 214-217-5617.
